There is a nice little program for Acrobat. I'm not sure if anybody has said anything about it and I'm sure most of you know about it but I'll post about it anyway. It is Acrobat Speed-Up. It applies miscellaneous tweaks and also removes plug-ins making the boot time of Acrobat much faster. The great thing about it is that you can add these removed plugins when you need them. It takes no additional system resources, just run it once and it works great. Works with v6.x-v7.x! I've used this for quite a while and i love it!

Well the only problem is that we have to waste 15Mb of space on our CD for plug in not needed to use. And 200Kb for Arcobat Reader 7 speed up.

Well, lets work: What we have so far?
  • Outdated System32 files
  • .pdf files you'll never read
  • Plugins you'll never use
Do I forget something?
Then:
  • Program files
  • Common files
  • One file in All users\App Data
  • Registry entries
  • Remove program entry
  • Start menu shorcuts
  • Desktop shorcut
I was reading what every plugin do, so I'll contribute with a dependence tree.

When I try to run it, Acrobat Reader is not installed.

This is what the logfile says:

Quote

Error 1402. Could not open key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Regedit.
System error 5.  Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

Does anyone know how I can prevent this error?

I am logged on as administrator and does have all rights.

Hi!

When Windows starts and when I try to start Acrobat Reader, then I get the following error:

This application failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Anyone has a solution?

TNX
