on newegg im looking at proccsesors and there was a warning

Notice: This Processor Works with SocketT (LGA775) Motherboard ONLY!

my mobo, asus p5gd2 premium, has LGA775 but doesnt say nething about socketT, what is socketT and will i be able to use it?

LGA 775 means that you hv a pinless socket. u dont even know what
u are buying. U do know u can just go to compusa and look around
the guys there would be happy to help u understand what u are buying.

ive alredy talked to ppl at a few stores and they know absolutley nothing

radio shack has to be the worst, a guy there in his 20's doesnt know what an xbox is. at comp usa and best buy the people dont know specifics about computers but they know the basics

well u can always call 1-800 or 1-888 for customer service at intel or asus
to ask them what is the a 775 socket. hahahahha

your funny. maybe it is time to combine all your post into one.

i will ask the moderators to put them all together. So it will be more

The LGA775 is also called Socket T (since it was meant to evolve for the now-cancelled Tejas processor). You may call it slang-name or whatever it is, in the same manner that the the Socket 462 (of AMD Athlon XP) was also called Socket A.
