I use Win2k Pro. When I try any REG statement, I get:

'reg' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Is this command only available in XP?

My initial attempts to find a resolution returned too many hits. I didn't realize the search engine defaults an OR between keywords. I found a resolution on This Page. Windows 2000 users need to simply place reg.exe in winnt (or in $oem$\$$ on the cd). BTW, the command I was trying to launch was REG.

1.) can U see reg in %windir%\system32?
2.) Do U have value %windir%\system32 in variable PATH?

1.) No, it is not included with Windows 2000 Pro
2.) Yes
See This Page, where I found the resolution.
