Hey, ya'll.
I was attempting a push installation of an upgrade when I notice that one of our XP clients isn't listed(!) Our Win2003 SBS server doesn't list it with the other machines in the "SBS Computers" folder. Oddly, it seems to work normally (i.e. logs on, prints, handles files, etc). I have verified the compter name and it is joined to our domain.
1. The machine name does not appear on the 'Network Places' list of any other computer in the joint.
2. You can ping the box by name or IP and it works fine.
3. When you issue a NET VIEW command, it doesn't appear.
4. The network settings appear just like the other XP clients.
5. Any attempt to remotely manage the computer are rudely rebuffed.

All this happened BEFORE I installed SP2. It didn't help, obviously.
MS KB article 840634 addresses a simlar prob.

Any ideas? This is driving me nuts.

Thanks for reading!

will
