I get that error when trying to install Panda Titanium Antivirus trial.

I'm running XProSP2.

I tried typing "net start rpcss" at cmd prompt and it says:

The requested service has already been started.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2182.

I had a virus recently and NOD32 wasn't doing anything about it so I thought I would try Panda.

I tried installing it and got the exact same message you did.

I rebooted and before I connected to the internet, as soon as the PC booted up I was successfully able to install Panda, so give that a go?

To avoid this problem, set the service DCOM Server Process Launcher in Services.msc to Automatic.
