48 posts in this topic

here's a couple of bugs that need to be checked, using latest nLited iso

during install throws a couple of popups, one stating uxtheme not compatable

with this version. Also, cdimage would not work. I had to uninstall command

window color changes ect. Over all very nice work and a great uninstaller......

BD

EDIT using XP Pro sp2, nLite 99.8b5 , WAIT installer, made one change went

back to xpize 2.5 and all problems were gone..........

just curious, what is installed when you use the silent switch

btw, different switch configs would be great

Regarding switches:

By now, XPize 3.0 doesn't support the /NORESTORE switch. *Maybe* it will be implemented in next version.

Components selection switches are not supported and difficult to implement. I can't promise anything for next version

Regarding WinRAR:

In theory, the WinRAR patch is applied wherever you have installed WinRAR, cuz the installer looks for the value in the registry. Anyway, it is safer to have it installed in C:\Program files

@bonedaddy and @Aegis

I have taken note on that, I will try to find what is wrong.

Thanks for reporting and for comments

XPero

same problem with the /s switch ...

if the system restoring is disabled a window pops up saying that the point creation failed and you have to click ok to go on, that isn't really silent :(

hope could be fixed fast ;)

i tried the way with autoit - but had no successful result

the window popping up has no window title and therefor i did not get it managed to press ok button

@xpero

it would be nice if you can tall, where the changes of the command box are made - i do not find them *gg*

the component selection is not so important

components not required like screensaver and so on can be deleted by batch files and the background and theme can be changed by registry - so it is just a little work to use regshot and get the entrys if you do not like the default tings *gg*

@iwod, install xpize on your host machine and export winrar.exe to your winrar's silent installation ;)

hallo again

for the german users here is a working auto-it script

if you do not try to get the message in silent mode, but click throu the complete setup uotoit works great

AutoItSetOption("MouseCoordMode", 0)
AutoItSetOption("TrayIconHide", 1)
BlockInput(1)
run("XPIZE_3.0.exe")
winwait("Installer Language")
controlclick("Installer Language", "OK", "Button1")
winwait("XPize v3.0 Installation", "Willkommen")
controlclick("XPize v3.0 Installation", "&Weiter >", "Button2")
winwait("XPize v3.0 Installation", "Lizenzabkommen")
controlclick("XPize v3.0 Installation", "Ich &akzeptiere das Lizenzabkommen.", "Button4")
controlclick("XPize v3.0 Installation", "&Weiter >", "Button2")
winwait("XPize v3.0 Installation", "Read Me")
controlclick("XPize v3.0 Installation", "Next >", "Button2")
winwait("XPize v3.0 Installation", "Installation Type")
controlclick("XPize v3.0 Installation", "&Weiter >", "Button2")
winwait("XPize v3.0 Installation", "Komponenten auswählen")
mouseClick("left", 200, 158, 1, 0)
controlclick("XPize v3.0 Installation", "&Installieren", "Button2")
winwait("XPize v3.0 Installation", "Die Installation ist vollständig")
controlclick("XPize v3.0 Installation", "&Weiter >", "Button2")
winwait("XPize v3.0 Installation", "Windows jetzt neu starten?")
mouseClick("left", 190, 207, 1, 0)
controlclick("XPize v3.0 Installation", "&Fertig stellen", "Button2")
BlockInput(0)

so you have to modify if you want to install english or other version

this script installs default, but without creating restore point and without restart

have fun

after i installed it, rebooted my computer, and my winlogon.exe is broken. It says it cant find a SHREF call in msigna.dll. Only option is OK, so I click it, it then says it can't load winlogon.exe. contact system admin. I had to reinstall windows

I'm hesitant to install it again. Anyone else run into this?
