Hello, I have been messing around on a domain set up at my school trying to implement some group policies to some OUs, but I keep getting an error which says that it can't find the Domain Controller (Even though I'm on the DC)

Any help is much appreciated.

Yes. Your DNS settings are incorrect. Active Directory and Group Policy depends heavily on accurate DNS. My guess is that your DC is using your ISP DNS servers for name resolution, when it should be pointed at itself.

Maxamoto's diagnosis sounds right. Usually that message means there is a DNS problem or other error. Try clicking "use any available domain controller" to see if it will allow you to do what you want. If it does great, but something is still probably configured wrong which is why you are getting the error.
