Because I had to install Windows XP on my computer, all of my old software was done through Windows 98. I am trying to open my original recovery disc that came with my computer and Windows 98. I have my software for my cd copier on it.

I am not sure if it is possible to open this disc or not. When I go into the disc to open I get, "Irfanview IMG File 1441 KB" on "My Computer".

When I click it to read the E:\Recovery disc, I get the following,
"E:\STARTUP.IMG:"

Can't Read File Header!

Unknown File Format!

It is no surprise to me that I have ran into this problem. I wanted to find out if there is any other way to get to the software from the 98 discI and install it on my XP, I need to run my cd copier.

Thank you

it is an image file. you need sofware like winimage to read it, magiciso will probably read it as well. Anyway since the software was created for windows 98 or way back when, I probably would not bother with that, download Nero and give it a try, you may like it better.
