Ctwizzy Posted April 25, 2005 Share Posted April 25, 2005 I have WinRAR and I want to add my .reg to the installer, but if i try adding the .reg file to the installer archive I get a cannot modify locked archive error. Is there anyway I can unlock the archive so I can add my file?If not this, how do I get the EXACT SFX for the installer so I can recreate it with that file included?Thanks! Lost Soul Posted April 25, 2005 Share Posted April 25, 2005 i dont believe you can unlock it to do that particular need,, i think its best to just unpack it and repackage it and if you just want to remake the same sfx package after adding the reg file that you desire,,, to get the same sfx styledo this on the sfx fileright click > properties > comment tab > then copy that into your new comment area for your new sfx file and thats ithope that helps you m8 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thats all the comment says but it installs properly. I managed to recreate it by building my own and copying each and every sfx entry from the original. Still would ne nicer if you could unlock it.
