hi all

i was wondering if anyone knows how i can shell switch 98se explorer for the on in say 2000 becaues 98 one is buggie and is for ever crashing and taking out my system dispite the fact that im using the patched version the comes with the 98se servace pack

also does anyone know of an app that is similuer to the 98 to me app that can update verious files on my system with newer versions with out the need to have a me disk ??

No way no how...system functions are too drastically different. You're only shot it either downgrade to Win95 or upgrade to WinME...shells of course.

and i do this how ??

well oviously i need the files but im not sure how i actualy switch them becaues oviously i cant do it while windows is up and running coz the files are in use so what do i need to do ?

Only way I've ever accomplished that was by using a program called 98Lite, which allows you to at least swap the shell down...meaning Win98 running Win95 shell. And I've seen posts here discussing how to get WinME shell running on Win98, but I've never tried that.
