WMP10 Complete Slipstream

The slipstreamer works fine with xphesp2 and wmp10...

but the files svcpack in i386 is compressed (originally is not compressed) and the file sysoc.inf is...look the attachment...and will create a sysoc.old in i386 directory.

I think what Racingaprilla means is that his sycoc.inf is almost empty, except for some weird characters.

It has a HUGE space, but I don't know if thats the way it's supposed to be?

I am experiencing something weird though after UA install. When i click "Check for updates" in WPM10, it says an update of 13 Meg is available. This update is the actual WMP10!! So it downloads the file and when it launches after download I get an error "a newer version of WMP10 is already installed".

Like if windows thinks I have not installed WMP10??

it happens to me but it happens even if i have a normal installed windows and a normal installation of wmp 10. so i think is an error in wmp 10. the error persist even after i install all patches for wmp 10. i also saw a post here about how to fix this but it did not work for me.

@Boardbabe & Boooggy: I am currently looking into this error, but the strange thing is I can't seem to replicate it... I am also currently busy with the final version that should take care of all the bugs and requests, but that'll be in a few days..

Well first of make sure you have right setup.exe:

And get the 3901 update and extract wmp.dll from it:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/9...13-x86-intl.exe

Run slipestreamer on wmp 10 setup.exe. When done replace its wmp.dll from the 3901 update.

Then just copy to your i386 folder and replace all files.

BTW ryan fixed the issue with his files a long time ago.

Simply download the correct WMP9-Less INF File you want:

Yes it works the same as WMP 10.

Its the same as mine and works perfectly. Only tried medium though myself so.

this is wierd...Check out these version numbers:

Pre-unattended...updated WMP9 to WMP10 via Windows Update...

Help >> About Windows Media Player...Version 10.00.00.3901

The majority of the file/product version says 10.00.00.3646

With the unattended one...WMP10 integrated this way...

Help >> About Windows Media Player...Version 10.00.00.3802

and the files are the same...

Tried downloading WMP10 from MS Downloads and the WMP home page...both came up as 10.00.00.3802 in both the about window and file version.

This doesn't happen on my normal install but I can recreate the problem on my unattended computer...did yours have SP2 integrated before install?

yes is a cd bought from microsoft with sp2 allready integrated.

so i tried a lot of things but did not work.

wmp 10 is version 3802. and after update dll's is version 3901. but still wants updates. also even if i download the update after install the problem persist.

ps also tried with all ryanvm's packs. still the same problem.

i downloaded the patches. extract the files needed and then compress using makecab or cabarc and the overwrite the files in the i386 folder.
