hi all,

Time to ask my first question ...
i need to add i picture (any king say it jpg,bmp ...) into one cell of Microsoft Excel!
i dont want u all to say "go to insert menu /use insert picture".
That one makes the picture to move away frm that cell if u drag it.
so suggest any method by which the picture gets trapped into the cell and it does not gets replaced unless any option is clicked.

thanx for the responses
regards,
ootsoo

It does not quite fit what you want but have a play with this.....

go to insert menu /use insert picture.... bare with me.....

Now select ALL cells (click cell above 1 and left of A)..

Now click format....cells....protection and clear the locked tab.

Now select Cell/s that cover the picture ie A2 to C5.

Now click format....cells....protection and check the locked tab.

Now click Tools.....protection....protect work sheet.

Haypresto...you can not move the picture but you can still edit the work sheet.

hi all

In regards to "trapping a picture in a cell" , i need further more clarifications. :P
Instead of protecting the worksheet (which causes resizing of the other cells also as hassle) is there any solution to protect that particular cell alone???
Can u suggest any VB program that helps to sort out that problem? (there is a method in VB form to add a picture in comment box..is there any such for alloting the picture in a cell and trapiing it ) If any small application is there please send me a jist of it please!!!

Thanx a lot for the responses that m to get. :thumbup
regards ,
Ootsoo
