How to install RealOne Player V2

1. Download RealPlayer10-5GOLD.exe from www.real.com

2. Install using -s switch (RealPlayer10-5GOLD.exe -s)

3. Apply RealOne.reg (REGEDIT /S RealOne.reg)

4. *Clean any unwanted shortcuts

How to install QuickTime 6.5.2

Prepapre:

1. Download QuickTimeFullInstaller.exe from www.apple.com

2. Place QuicktimeInstaller.ini in same dir as QuickTimeFullInstaller.exe

3. Manually install QuickTime and apply all wanted settings and registration info

4. SFX QuickTime.qtp from %allusersprofile%\Application using WinRAR, name it QuickTimeSettings.exe

Install:

1. Run QuickTimeSettings.exe with no switches

2. Install using /f switch (QuickTimeSettings.exe /f)

1. Apply QuickTime.reg to disable taskbar icon and remove QuickTime from startup (REGEDIT /S QuickTime.reg)

6. *Clean any unwanted shortcuts

QuickTimeSettings.exe SFX comments

1. Download QuickTime alternative here.

2. Download RealAlternative here. (Thanks DLF)

3. Install using: INSTALLERFILENAME /silent /loadinf=".\silent.inf"

4. Read this to find out how to create silent.inf

not sure what to vote, i use real and quicktime alternative codecs but both are played using wmp10 

How do you make Real and QuickTime files play in WMP10, using Real/QuickTime Alternative? This is new to me.

lot of of topics on this same board and sections about it :)

search for "unattended codec pack", "registering file extensions unattended" or "Unattended DirectShow Filters"

ps: voted "other players" :P

Outta curiousity (and i hope not too far off the original threads topic), but ive seen bsplayer around, but never really tried it. what makes it better / worse than MPC?

similar system resources used; bsplayer supports skins and a LOT of stuff that mpc doesn't... from "desktop mode" to winamp plugins :)
