Thank you very much, Alanoll, from myself and everyone here at MSFN!!!! Your great work is appreciated. I was just about to burn my latest copy of WPI, stopped by to see if any new apps were out and will add this to it right away. Thanks again!!!!

Thanks for updating this.

Oh and for the record, I read the guide and thats how I learned to use Runonceex, but once I find something that I'm comfortable with that works well, I'd rather stick with that, even if it requires a few extra steps to do.

Edit: Wow, just stumbled upon the OEM folder guide (I must not have seen it before in the reference section. I read the beginner, intermediate and advanced guides but not that) and yeah you're right, that is much easier.

oki really nice Alanoll
just one question?

i run it with the following:

REG ADD %KEY%\005 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Winamp\Winamp5094.msi /qb-! INI="%systemdrive%\install\Applications\Winamp\winamp.ini"" /f

but it still gives me the install dialouge with a cancel button during install.

EDIT i have tried /qb aswell

any thoughts on how to get rid of it?

thanx

Use /qb-! to remove the cancel box

The syntax for your REG command is invalid. You're not escaping the embedded Quotes.

@Wesmois : please remove the original key from your ini. thanks

@Alanoll: I am having problems with the msi, and to explain it simply it doesn't work with the ini, it doesn't even work like
winamp5094.msi XAUDIO=1 /qb-!

Dunno what to do. And in some tests I even got some data1.cab error. Or sometimes just hanged with the process bar at about 30%.

EDIT: VERY SORRY. I had an incomplete download it seems :( wtf 1mb instead of 6

I wanted to be the first to tell you something that you most likely already know...

New version of Winamp is out!! v5.1

Wait, it seems to have been pulled.

Congratulations! I KNEW someone would come here and tell me to update the MSI to 5.1, even though it's STILL in beta status. Now quite honestly, I WON'T update the MSI untill Winamp.com's FRONTPAGE shows the change as ONLY THEN is it considered official.

@Alanoll would you have any idea why I don't have start menu > programs > winamp dir, for each user? I mean I install all my programs with runonceex as admin ( autologon first time ). And yet I don't have the dir for the other users ( I am creating them with cmdlines.txt so that might be a problem ). They should be created after winamp install to work ? Anyhow the only solution would be to copy the start menu dir to others ? :(
