hey there,

I have noticed that in scripting there are some "inicials" like: /S, /N, qb-, /f......
but what do they mean. my question is there a link where these "inicials" are explained. thank yu

They are called "switches". they control the behavior of the program in question.
type the name of the program followed by "/?" to see what they do

so...if you were to do that and the programs installs as usual, does that mean that there are no switches for that program ??

the switches are used to make the installation silent. Each installer has it's own.

Depends on the program. You could either just be using the wrong switch, or the switch is case sensitive.

...or in a worst case scenario, the switches have been disabled...

I hate when that happens, I mean WHY?????
