Hi everyone,

I hope you could help me. I just installed SiSoftware Sandra. I'm not sure which to look at to see what's the maximum amount of RAM(MB) I can install on my computer. Can someone help me?

Thanks.

MCT,

Mobo: MSI 645 Ultra-C .

Anyway I see, mainboard information->Memory controller->Maximum Installable Memory=384MB

I'm no sure if this is correct. In my mobo book guide I see the max is 3GB with 333Mhz.

Help. I'm confused...

The max your motherboard should support is 3GB @ 333 MHz.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Here is an example;
3GB @ 333MHz DDR
2GB @ 400MHz DDR

Not all motherboards work stable at 400MHz DDR therefor they lower the max. RAM that could be installed. Most of the time itīs the voltage problem of the lines (PCB), inteference and the lengt of the PCB lines (print).
