Hello
I'm planing to upgrade to 2003 Server on my notebook, but can I use hibernation? That stuff costs many $, £, €, CHFs, whatever you want, but it would be a waste if it cannot hibernate. I read through the guide, couldn't find a Power Management Section
Thanks in advance
Jeeva

Hibernation already available in server 2003 :
control panel > power option > hibernate
but it is unchecked... simply check it.

also you can use this utility to convert server 2003 to workstation:
Win 2003 Optimize Tool v1.45
http://www.sala.pri.ee/
--------------------------------------------
I'd noticed:
* server 2003 takes about 33 sec. booting
* XP takes 20 sec. booting

Which Edition can I take for converting, do they only vary on Server Components or is there a difference "under the hood" ?
I first try it and then buy a licence, it's on the ground to be illegal, but if I can try W2k3 Enterprise for free (180 Days) Microsoft shouldn't hurt me if I try another Edition.
I have available:
Windows Server 2003 Standard
Windows Server 2003 Enterprise
Windows Server 2003 Small Business Edition
Which one to take?

You can see the difference between standard and Enterprise at:
http://www.microsoft...n/editions.mspx
i think standard is enough if you will use it as a workstation !!
