Maybe it's the copyright protection? I've heard certain games like Far Cry have been a nightmare to install on certain peoples computers because of it.

Do you have alcohal(sp?) or daemon tools (or another such program) installed? if you do that many times will not allow an install, as for HL2, they had lots of trouble with that, check www.steampowered.com in the FAQ section, I believe that the have a topic on it.

It seems Your Windows Installer to be Update
You can download the Windows Installer file from the Web. To do this, visit one of the following Microsoft Web sites:
Instmsia.exe for Windows 98 or Windows Millennium Edition:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/Win...US/InstMsiA.exe
-or-
Instmsiw.exe for Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/Win...US/InstMsiW.exe

I hope U ‘r Problem Will Solve By Doing this.

:hello: :) :hello:

Check this site out it has a bunch of different methods that might help you overcome your install problems. You can read the whole article but I feel that just below the first screenshot will be the most helpful information. Good luck!! :thumbup
