I HATE Image Preview, and this is the only way I've found to get rid of it.
Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesCLSID{e84fda7c-1d6a-45f6-b725-cb260c236066}shellex
and delete the subkey:
MayChangeDefaultMenu
Reboot. Images will now open in your default viewer by double-clicking. You can still right-click and select PREVIEW if you want to open it in Image Preview.
If you want to get rid of the PREVIEW menu option entirely, you can go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesCLSID{e84fda7c-1d6a-45f6-b725-cb260c236066}InProcServer32
and for the (Default) Value, delete the data so it is empty, "".
Reboot. No more "Preview" option on right-click.

Exactly! Now if I could just get CD Architect to see my burner under XP, I'd be happy...

Why not just change the file association?????? [/quote:a69066f6e2]
That's a pain to do one-by-one, there's so many image format types.
This reg fix is done once and is very simple. I could even make a reg file to make the changes on one click.
