Im sorry about this. I must have made a mistake and checked off disableing startup/shutdown sounds when I didn't intend to. Is there a way to re-enable them?

Check under the Sounds and Audio Devices in the Control Panel.

i supose if u post it here that u removed them with nlite. i think that if u did that u can't reenable.

Thats the thing I did set sounds under audio devices and they work except for the startup/shutdown sounds.

I think it cannot been reenable. You had deleted a service or driver.

sounds like you disabled "beep" noise on errors.
it's a bug that also disables startup and shutdown sounds.
check for this key in registry:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Sound]
"Beep"="yes"
"ExtendedSounds"="yes"
