I read in this thread about shrinking and creating a silent installer for Diskeeper.

Now I have never used 7zip before, and I searched the help directories of the program and used the boards search function and neither could answer my question.

So, at the risk of looking like a total newbie, how exactly does one create an admin install point? :blushing:

My apologies in advance for this question if it is lame, but I even tried google "how to create an admin install point" to no avail :(

msiexec /a diskeeper.msi

This is the basic command for admin install. diskeeper.msi can be changed, depending on the installer name. Just follow the Installer prompts to complete.

guys perhaps I didn't make myself clear here...

I am aware Astalavista supplied instructions on how to create the admin install point, what I am getting at is I don't know WHERE to create it...

I see the code required, but how exactly does one create and admin install point IN GENERAL?

After some extensive googling I found a site about creating an admin install point for Office XP, and from this I gathered that you need to create a virtual system to create an admin install point. Would this be correct?

You see, my prob is I do not know what to do or where to create the admin install point.. I hope this makes things a little clearer as to what I am requesting assistance with
