Anyone know of any issues with installing Longhorn on a virtualmachine.


Either microsoft or VMware.

as long as i know they dont support longhorn yet. use search on this forum i remember some topics here somewhere..... :P

workstation 5 does run longhorn

i got ms virtual pc 2004 to run it, it wasent very nice at all but im not complaining

MS VPC 2004 runs 5048 quite well, [Albeit slowly]. However, it looks terrible until the 'Virtual Machine Additions are installed.

I think VMware (4 or 5) should work with longhorn.

VMware v5.02+ does the job pretty good. then install your regular drivers. works great for me.

You mean VirtualPC 5.02 (pre Microsoft)?
The latest VMWare Workstation version is 5.0.0 Build 13124
