Hello,
I'm trying to create an unattended cd like this site http://unattended.ms...ers/drivers.htm , How do I start to create an winnt.sif from the start. Can't seem to find anywhere on the cd or hardrive?
Thank you for your time.

Use winrar to open cdrom:\support\tools\deploy.cab. Go to the directory you
extracted the files too and run setupmgr.exe. it will step you through
creating your winnt.sif

Hi all,
Tried that. Went through the procedure, entered all the right answers, watched setupmgr create the distribution directory, and the 3 files (unattended.txt, unattended.bat, and an other one of which the name escapes me for the moment), watched i386 being copied, and then ... it all vanished! Twice! I see both shares in Advanced Remote Info, and in My Network Places. But I get Access Denied, both as the user who created it (member of the administrators group), and logged in as administrator. Weird.
I've done this before, with no problems whatsoever. My config is a run-o-the-mill WinXP with SP2 slipstreamed.
Any suggestions anybody? I'd be very obliged.
Thanks in advance,
Frank
PS: Just tried a third and fourth time to find out the name of the third file, and guess what... it doesn't get created anymore, go figure. Distribution dir still gets deleted, though
