i just finished my win98 installation. when win started it asked my about the username. i got this message every time my PC started. how to remove this message by fixing my username. sorry for bad english....!

u mean than just hit cancel i will never see this messege again??

you can just hit enter that will do the same thing but beaware that the dialog will comeback when you get on a network atleast in my experience it has

You can try to use TweakUI. Tick "log on automatically at system startup" under the logon tab.

Yes, just typing your name (which will already be there if you typed it in during setup) and leaving the password blank, then hitting OK will keep it from happening all the time.
Now, once you install internet access you're okay with just dialup but with cable, dsl, etc, you'll get that at startup again.
To prevent that go to Network properties in Control Panel and choose Windows Login. Usually I delete that Windows Family Login and install Client For Microsoft Networks as a client, but choose Windows Login in the drop down box.
