Windows update is offering me a driver i cant find elsewhere but its only offering to install it for me. I need to grab it with out installing to put im my Unattended XPCD.

SO my question is- Where do the updates go, when using the custom Windows Update site, before they are installed?

Thankyou

If you'd like to have Windows Update Catalog pre installed unattendedly
copy iuctl.dll from your system32 folder into your uA cd and
run regsvr32 on it from one of your batch files...

Use the link given above to create a shortcut, assign it an appropriate icon.

Make a normal shortcut to IExplore.exe.
Then add the url after the program name and you can add a comment and change icon.

Thank's man, that's what I was looking for.

Ops, I deleted the original Windows Catalog link. I want to remove it in my cleanup. WHAT IS THE ORIGINAL LINK named? Is it a .lnk or .url?

The original is 'Windows Catalog.lnk'
The icon is from %SystemRoot%\system32\moricons.dll
Start in: %Homedrive%%Homepath%
Comment: Find products made for Windows.

Here is the original ... on my computer it doesnt even work.

I get an error message:
There was a problem sending the command to the program.

Which is fine by me, because i remove this through the uA process anyway.

Thank's guys. I will definatly remove this annoying lnk. It does not work for me at Norwegian XP Pro either. It links to some "Page cannot be found" and a bogus URL.

I'd like to remove the "Angi programtilgang og standardprogrammer" as it is called in Norwegian (Program access and standard programs) also, but it makes the Start-menu nice and wide :P
Any way to through registry or whatever set the width of the start-menu? (Sorry if it's a bit off the track)
