I want to add some restrictions for certain user by modifying registry but I am unable to access that key in HKU.

I use Win2k, have admins rights

Any other suggestions about improving local security are welcome too

Simple, to edit another users HKCU either login as them (Yeah I know too easy...).

Or in regedit, go to the file menu, notice the "Load Hive" option?
Highlight HKU then select the Load Hive option browse to the (target) user's user directory (In Documents and Settings), and open the ntuser.dat file...Which is actually that user's HCKU

As a side point, this type of thing is supposed to be done (the easy way) through Group Policy.

nevermind i found it myself. if you cannot see something that does not means that
you cannot add it :) . i am going to write program which will do this for me, because
i don't like Group Policy

`Simple, to edit another users HKCU either login as them' - this method is useless if you
are applying some policy settings
