I cannot get the Windows Rollup Package for Win2k to install on 2 of my servers.

Network:
1 Domain Controller (Rollup installs find on this server) - 2k
1 Member Server - just holds accounting peachtree datafile - 2k -on domain
1 IIS Web server - 2k -not on domain

All are completely up to date as far as windows updates and anti-virus updates except for Win2k rollup package on the member server and iis server. It goes through 3 quarters of the installation then it gives me an Update Rollup 1 installation: access denied.

Yes I am installing with domain administrator account
already recreated administrator profile on both machines.
Tried running it in safe mode
All "regular" services start and stop with no problem (Automatic updates, BITS, windows installer, WMI, ....)
reinstalled windows installer redist 3.1v2
Reinstalled windows script host(lead from another website)
Everything on the system runs fine. no other errors.. but the rollup will not install. I have been working on this for 2 nights now and would like to get this fixed before that new exploit hits me.

The 2 errors I receive are:

EventID 4373
Windows 2000 Update Rollup 1 installation failed.

I only have 6 Win2k machines on my network and 3 of them are servers. It deployed all except those 2.

Access is denied.
and
EventID 4379
Windows 2000 Hotfix Update Rollup 1 installation failed.
Update Rollup 1 installation did not complete.

I have tried running through winodws update, automatic updates and manual download and install.

Any other ideas..
