Hi,
we have a D-Link router and a switch to share ADSL in our home
the problem is that i can not access the web based settings of the router
when typing the gateway ip address in internet explorer 6 (10.0.0.x)
it prompt me for user name and password...
the default values is : user name=admin pass=blank

but it seems that the technican who installed the router had changed it.
the router is in other appartment and i can not reset it and the technican
guy is now out of reach !!

(i like tweaking so i want to get to performance settings of our router)

* so is there a way to get to the router settings ??

Can you call over there and ask them to reset it?

Also try using "password" as the password without the quotes.
