I have all my mp3s labeled correctly like this:
Nas - Made you look.mp3

Is there a free program that will edit the id3 tag from the filename?

I have an mp3 player, and it has all my id3 tags all messy, so I can barely find my songs on mp3 player.

TIA!

you just need a tag editor. there are so many of them on net that pointing towards one would be wrong.
anyways a few very good ones are
Dr. Tag
MP3 Cat
Tag Scanner

a nifty tool...but paid one is Moodlogic

you can search for tag-editors on google and find as many as u like!

:) don't u think winamp is a bit of pain in neck when it comes to tag editing?
editing tags of one or two MP3 files is a different thing but you have loads of them to work with then you are surely better off with a nice tool.
