MSN doen't install silently and Messenger Plus doesn't install itself properly.

on my system i can't launch it (tells me that MP has not been installed properly, i have to download the last version package).

can u tell me if it is my system or your 7Zip file ?

last week.. it's a leaked "beta"....

the release is a QFE patch... the 2nd of its kind so you must have MSN Messenger 7.5.0299 installed to update it

its mainly bug fixes however nothing new has been noticed

i just downloaded msn messenger 7.5 + patch 7.5.0303.

then i DL messenger plus 3.54

finaly i use this in my RunOnceEx :

REG ADD %KEY%\055 /VE /D "MSN Messenger 7.5" /f
REG ADD %KEY%\055 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Softwares\MSN\MSN7.5.msi /qn" /f
REG ADD %KEY%\055 /V 2 /D "%CDROM%\Softwares\MSN\MSN7.5_patch.msp /qn" /f
REG ADD %KEY%\055 /V 3 /D "%CDROM%\Softwares\MSN\MsgPlus-354.exe /SilentInstallNoSponsor" /f
REG ADD %KEY%\055 /V 4 /D "%CDROM%\Softwares\MSN\MSN7.5_patched.exe" /f

PS: "MSN7.5_patched.exe" is and SFX archive with 2 files i replaced with the A-patch (removes really unwanted things...).
in fact "msgslang.dll" and "msnmsgr.exe" replaced.

Extract with winrar the program you have downloaded (MSN 7.5)

there will be 2 programs: bootstrap.exe and msnmsgs.msi

my script is:

%cdrom%\apps\messenger\MsnMsgs.msi  /quiet /qr  /norestart

so the command is :

MsnMsgs.msi  /quiet /qr  /norestart

Im having major problems with MSN messenger 7.5 as soon as i upgraded i cant log on keep getting a error or system busy try later have tried everything no joy have tried re installing messenger 7.0 cant get that back either it keeps coming up with net passport explorer saying downloading information but never get finished and i have broadband so it should be fast help

is there any chance someone could give a bit more info on how to install msn messanger using the patch and other files please im a complete noob and dont realy have a clue what to do i realy want to learn how to do this so i can install some more apps but i cant find no realy informative guides
