i need to know if there is cmdlines.txt,runonceex, or something equivalent in win2k
as far as i could tell runonceex doesnt work, it wont even accept the reg add command

You have to add REG.EXE to your system32 folder so you'll be able to use RunOnceEx key as usual in Windows XP. You can get it on your Windows 2000 CD, it is compressed with many other tools inside the support\tools folder.
