zivan56 Posted March 18, 2003 Share Posted March 18, 2003 It depends what you are going to use it for, JSP, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL will not work good on Windows, they will just hog memory and load very slowly under large loads (believe me I tried it ).If its ASP, ColdFusion and mSQL then the obvious choice is Windows.I would go for the Linux one since I do mostly PHP and MySQL stuff. Might want to decide what application you are going to use (for billing, bandwidth monitoring, account monitoring, etc). before deciding on the server.I run the ClearInfo site on a 450Mhz Debian Linux box, and its blazing fast to generate the pages; I just need a better connection Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
