I am trying to install windows NT with a SATA hard disk.

The Setup doesnt detect the sata drive and wants me to manually install the driver. :o

Please can anyone help me with this? Any drivers?

Here is what I am using
Intel 865GBF
Segate 80GB sata drive

Thanks

Sandy

I think you're just screwed...I could be wrong, but I don't think there is any support for SATA with NT. You could see if you can find an NT driver for your SATA controller, but given what I've read/heard you're up a creek man...

Try Windows 2000 drivers. They might work.

I'd give up ..... there is almost no chance of getting a SATA drive to work on NT4 - there are no drivers available for NT4, only 2000 and 2003 Server.

thanks for the reply.

I will give those win 2000 sata drivers a shot, if they dont work I guess will have to buy a new PATA drive.

Where do I get these SATA drivers for my motherboard?

thanks for all the help!

Sandy
