can i use nlite to make a bootable windows cd ?

try to unhide the partition (assign it a driveletter)
See if you can find the windows install dir from there.
You can always try and download a cd from somewhere,..as long as you have your own serial number that should be legal.

Contact MS & they should send you a copy free of charge, after all a hard drive failure will leave in some trouble with out a copy of the os.
