Is this possible...? Script is executed when CD is inserted Rate Topic: -----

Hello,

im trying to make this script which when inserted in XP Pro

i) automatically starts and does a network configuration from a list of txt/doc file on the cd...that is to say the list txt/doc file has a set of MAC addresses and corresponding IP addresses...

ii) the cd looks for the MAC address on the computer and then accordingly applies the IP settings from the txt file when it sees a match..as well as the computer name

i hope i have set forth my problem in an understanding manner...

any help is welcomed
