Can anyone tell how to setup windows messenger or some type of messenger on a lan?I have done search with no luck maybe someone here could point me to a good site.

Only IM server I've ever heard of is Jabber...but why not just make everyone create an MSN account (Free) and just make them all buddies? I know it's not as limited as a LAN only solution, but it's by far the easiest.

Realpopup is an alternate for the dumb winpopup, also its FREE !
