Recommended Posts

have a problem with Firefox Setup 1.0.7.exe..

Using this in RunOnceEx>

REG ADD %KEY%\300 /VE /D "FireFox1.0.7" /f
REG ADD %KEY%\300 /V 1 /D "\"%CDROM%\Install\Applications\Firefox\Firefox Setup 1.0.7.exe\" -ms -ira" /f

Firefox install ok, but if I got to "Start", "Programs", "Firefox", I have 2 shortcuts to Firefox... second one is called "Firefox (safe mode)" ...

any one have any idea why the second one is there?...and how to get rid of ir? (by not just deleting the *.lnk manually afterwards...)

it would seem to me that the safe mode option was purposefuly put there during the firefox install, this isn't really a problem, it's meant to happen - and could be useful if firefox doesn't start for some reason. How you installed it is irrelevant, I suspect if you install it manually you'll end up with the same result.

..and removing, why not just use a cmd/bat file to delete the .lnk? you can call the bat/cmd after running the exe and it will automatically delete the .lnk/.
