How to access other PC folder in LAN?

Hi everyone,

i have a problem here. There is 2 WinXP computer at my house, but i unable to access each PC shared folder. It always prompt me to key in user name & password. How to over come this problem???? Thanks.

do this..

start, run

control userpasswords2 (press enter)

advanced, Manage Passwords

add.

Server (other computer's name -i'll call it homepc1 for now) homepc1

username homepc1\administrator -or whatever username you want -must be a valid user on the other machine.

password -whatever the password is..

I have a question on the opposite. How do I make the users in my LAN to have to input a username and passowrd before viewing shared files? I'm currently in a campus hostel and I would like to share some files but only to specific people.
