Heya all,
I have a question...
I use a SATA drive as my main/OS drive. I also have several IDE drives. I currently always disconnect all my IDE drives prior to starting installation, because I fear Windows will attempt to install itself on the IDE drives. Since, IDE is windows preferred medium. Or atleast thats my experience running SCSI and IDE on the same system...
Sooo, is there a way to ensure that Windows will NOT...harm my IDE drives if I were to leave them plugged in during installation?
Thanks for any suggestions/help/knowledge:)

So long as your unattended loads the drivers neccessary for SATA, and you don't skip the "Choose Drive" (option to format) stage, theres no reason to unplug the IDE's. You likely want to go into your BIOS as well and select which HD is the main boot device.
