better than that underground crap EA has been releasing, but still not quite up to par w/ porsche unleashed, maybe one of these days they'll drop the "vinyl adds horsepower" crap.

Or maybe one day they'll just drop the whole series altogether :D

Wait... I'm dreaming again, that'll never happen :(

BURN IN HELL EA!

i really miss hot persuit 2...is it as good as that one?
from the pics ive seen, the course design looks bland, like industrial buildings and things like that, is there actually any natural scenery to this game?

dunno why so many hate EA, the only thing i dont like is all those d##ned movies you have to watch when you start to play any of thier games but i give em credit for one thing though...all thier games work flawlessly,no stutters,no wierd issues... for me anyway

The reason most people hate EA is because they couldn't give a crap about the end user but only themselves.

Another reason is because they release so many 'new' games every year with not ONE of them having any significant or substantial improvements over the same game from years ago. Any of their sports titles or Need for Speed titles from recent years are perfect examples.

And another reason is because they're slowly killing the games industry by taking over the GOOD game developers and then making hashes of their games for the sake of earning more money. Burnout anyone?

Hot Pursuit 2 rocked. That and Porsche unleashed. That was the best of times for this series. The Underground dealiyo was not half as bad but the thing was there was no realistic characteristics in the cars and no damage models unlike the Porsche Unleashed. Sure they were catering to the console crowd but I feel if a game is to come out for PC they should try to make it realistic and challenging as well. Dloaded the demo for this one and it is pretty looking but the list of cars are not that impressive and they seem all riced out....sucks. ITs ok...for the casual gamer not for a serious car fanatic.

anyone play richard burns rally?

the game is better than hp2 imo. no helicopter dropping barrels on you. i mean wtf? who the hell thought that one up?

last one in the series that i played religously was porsche unleashed. bought all since w/ the exception of U2. how many do i still play since? none.

I kind of liked the barrels :blushing:

I loved Porsche Unleashed except the network play was horrid!!! Goddamn there were so many bugs! Ruined it! I love Richard Burns rally **** that is hard! Also try out FIA - GTR by Simbin.

well with richard burns stuff u're really comparing different stuff
need for speed is not a rally game and its not a simulator.
richard burns is a rally simulation game!!
u could compare it to colin mcrea or rally challange... but still...

i love all the series of need for speed. i've all the editions from nfs1 se to ug2. yes they could put a little more time into it and make better physics engine so that the car won't fly as much and that nos thing is a bit exaggruated. but still i like them all. and since there are many who play these series i don't think anyone will really complain :D

u could mention grand turismo as well, nfs series are no where near the gt series in number of cars/tracks/physics but still nfs is nfs and we love it!!!

I played a little bit of the demo, and personally I'm disappointed with it. For some reason I get that "Been there, done that" feeling before. I guess I'm just getting tired of racing games or something.

oh well....i'll still play it, but its just not as exciting anymore....

yea the net code sucked, but it was still awesome :D . as for fia/gtr, i was a hugh fan of the fia gt mod for f1 2k/2k1, but seeing as i am running xp x64/vista x64 for os's im kinda screwed till starforce (ugh :realmad: ) comes out w/ a 64 bit version.

Another urban bling racer. What happened to racing exotic cars through the Swiss Alps or the Irish countryside? I'm sick of racing around in a ghetto, and I'm sick of all the ricer crap. At least this game takes place in the daytime, it's a small improvement. It's still an arcade fest though, give me Porsche Unleashed anyday.
