If you don't like MSN Messenger 5 and wanna remove it the best way possible, try this

Bring the RUN command up and add to the textbox

Quote

msiexec.exe /x {ABEB838C-A1A7-4C5D-B7E1-8B4314B00543}
It will prompt

Are you sure you want to uninstall this program?

Click Yes to remove :)

Tried that on my test VPC running Windows XP with MSN Messenger 5.0.0544 installed. After clicking Yes, I get the

"This action is only valid for products that are currently installed" error message.

just letting you know :)

u do know gamehead that the {ABEB838C-A1A7-4C5D-B7E1-8B4314B10138} eg CLSID is random for all installs so not everyone has the same one :) thats why i made a proggy to automatic detect the CLSID and remove it nicely :rolleyes: :Woot:
