I know im not your avarage Windows Guru,

Im probebly not even in the Top 500 most frequent posters,

Im nowhere near the user who helps the most people,

But I am a user who likes to help others (if i can),

but scrolling the board in search if people to help, i have came accoss about 10 unique posts about,

how to get past Genuine check, windows Activation, (or whatever other kind of s***),

So here I am, spending about 1 or 2 hours a day on this forum, waisting my time on reading a post about

illigal stuf, that i dont want to help people with.

Even though its in the posting rules and forum rules lots of those jack-asses, just dont read those,

and i've had it,

I realy think that such a user rating would help me to not attend the problems of people who dont read or follow the forum rulles, (it would certainly give me some extra time for users who DO deserve the help)

any thoughts???

Note to any user who thinks im a hypocrit...

I do run windows on 2 computers,

XPpro on a desktop, and 2k server on an old AMD K6 500mhz

The xp pro is only partly legal, (its an OEM-licence for my laptop but running on desktop instead),

The 2k server - is running non-productional use (but for education only) but ligaly im not a student anymore at this moment, but still am using it to studdy for a MSP (im going to attend next year).

on my laptop im running linux with Free versions of OSS only...

on both my windows machines there is no 3rd party sofware w/o licence,

NO, NO, YES.

There are plenty of places on the NET to get info on cracks, hacking etc. I would hate to see regular posts asking for cracks, bypassing activation etc. here at MSFN.

I've been a member here since it was eXperience and have found it a friedly, adult place. I fear if mods allowed such posts it would turn into yet another Warze site.

No. - The only questions that I answer about cracks, keygens, etc. are for when people ask me what they are, what they do, things of that nature. That I will answer. If they ask about where to get such items, they get a post of the rules (and I'll lock the thread if I'm a mod).

No. - See above.

I don't care. - It doesn't matter if there's a rating system for it or not. Moderators often make the best decisions and know what the rules are in general.

Great minds think alike... :)

The way I do things (at least in the XP forum - this probably comes up more here than most other places), if a member posts links to illegal material, they will get a warning depending on the severity. If they break the rules more than once, it's game over (i.e. banned).

Just a note about that last point of Tarun's. If you have a problem with the way that a topic was moderated, bring it up with the moderating team (by PM only - do not start a new post about it - that one will be closed and deleted as well). If there was an error in judgement, it will be amended.

Edit - Just thought I'd add another thing about this site... it is watched by Microsoft. I know that xper has already been contacted by MS at one point or another regarding the content here at MSFN. Allowing illegal content would only bring trouble and possibly lead to the end of MSFN. In other words... no.

Q. Do you think we should allow questions about: hacking, cracking, and Key generators?

A. Our answer can be short: NO, and we will never allow you or anyone to do so.

Q. Would you answer such a question?

A. Yes i will. I will advice them to not do it again because they will get banned!

Q. Should Forum Moderators be able give an 'illegal questions'-rating, so we'd know and could refuse to help a user in the future.?

A. MSFN already has a warning system, only moderators and admin can see those warnings.

Topic closed.

PS if you see some illegal activity on the forums, you can use the reporting system. There is a button in every single post to report the post to the moderators. We moderators do this work in our spare time and we just cant check every single post, even we try our best (believe me).
