I wanted to find out from you AMD experts before I go-ahead buying my system.
I saw the AMD stats compared to INTEL and was impressed.
So far I have;
AMD X2 4200
Seagate SATA 200GB x2
Ati X800XT Platinum Edition
Soprano Case (430w)
I don't know what Motherboard & RAM to get. Could you please give your opinion on the following;
Motherboards
Gigabyte K8N Pro-SLI
Gigabyte K8NXP-SLI
Asus A8N-SLI
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
RAM
I have no idea which is compatible and best suits my needs - Speed & Reliability
The system Im building for will mainly be used for high-end gaming and picture editing. I don't really have a budget - take it as Unlimited.
Thanks in advance!

I would'nt bother with the x800xt for games, the x1800 series would be a better buy or wait for cards based on the r580 core.
As for ram I'm using the XMS3500 2GB matched pair from Corsair, I'd avoid the value select stuff as every single set I've had has been bad so far.

if you dont want to wait for the fx60 then get an opteron 165 or better
get 2 gigs of ram
if you want to overclock then get a dfi nf4 board, otherwise get the asus a8n-sli premium
i have this ram:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820146397
mines doing 3-4-4-8 260 2.6v
if u put 2.7 into them then you can get 3-4-3-8 all the way up to 280

Great suggestions. I would wait to build a computer right now because of the slew of hardware updates coming out and also that would enable in price drops of older hardware. So my advice is to hold out as long as you can and till like March or so and then buy your rig and you will find the same amount of money going a longer distance.

Thanks for all your guys input. I dont think I'll wait any longer coz Im just gonna endup spending my money on something else. And I've waited long enough with my current S*%# computer. Hehe
Please keep you suggestions coming.
I'll post back on what I end-up buying and how it goes.
Thanks!
