4 SATAII drives? "And maybe another 2"? I think you might want a bit more wattage...

E.g. I've been using one of these: http://www.geeks.com...tId=EC-P680D-NB
for 2 years with no problem:

The Fortron or the OCZ should be able to handle your requirements easily. I used to have 6 sata drives, 2 dvd-writers, an opteron 146, about 6 fans and a 7800gt powered with a single 500W Ultra X-connect PSU till I decided to add 3 more drives to my system and thereby upgrade to a dual PSU system.

Here is the specs of my computer

ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ Toledo 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Dual Core Processor
2GB DDR 400
POWERCOLOR R43CA-GD3D Radeon X800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16
3X NEC3550A DVD Writers
4X Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s expandable to 4 more sata.
3 Fans

The question a pws that can handle this unit must be under $120.00

That system with 8 SATA drives would consume about 480W at peak usage. I'd recommend the Antec TP2-550EPS12V or the Antec TP-II 550, both 550W.

once again to those that dont understand english budget of $120 max.
must have min of 4 sata power plugs, and 7 to 9 standard power plugs.

ocz does not fit this criteria.

if u dont have anything productive to add why post a reply?

just bec. i feel that your recommendation does not pass my specs and requirement? Are you hurt?
and it is a major turn off to see chinese in the download spec sheet. If i am going to buy anything from china it will be from
a well known brand. Not some never heard company.
Pls feel free not to reply. NO one is forcing you to reply and contribute to this topic.

I am certain there are alot people who are more knowledgable and have a better understanding of PWS that yourself.

I prefer not to use any splitters.

Suryad, Thank you so much, You had the best advice. I download several videos at 3dgameman's website. And joined his forum.
He was very kind when i emailed him for advice, he said he would get back to me after the holidays.
In 4 of his video's there are pws that have standard 4 SATA power cables and 8 ide power cables as STANDARD. meaning no need for
splitters. Why get splitters when you can buy a pws that does not need them. Something less to worrry about. :)
