Heh, even if I had generic components, I still wouldn't pick up the phone to call tech support. I can fix most problems myself. If I can't, I ask on MSFN!

Id Have To Say Custom built its the only way to ensure every parts warrenty lol, but if i had no choise and couldnt build for any reason, id say Alien Ware, only other id ever trust to build a system, Trust me if you go to a cheap retailer Rma soon becomes your middle name lol,

Except that I didn't care much for the OS on the C-64, so I re-wrote it.

On new PC's today (any brand name) it takes me over an hour to just get

custom build usually means you buy the components separately and build the pc yourself. technically Dell and others let you customize a pc to buy too. I am in the custom build camp, again I build it myself. I prefer the Shuttle XPC's.

A custom built PC is the way to go. Therefore you can upgrade your PC anytime without specially made products, like Dell for example, which is only compatible with Dell only hardware, which is pathetic, and not to mention, more money. And its much cheaper to build a custom built PC.

I would say that "custom build" is not a valid "pc make".
