I have a .chm file that I'm trying to view. It keep telling me that Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable.
Has anyone else seen this error and have a fix for it?

Is the .CHM file on a network share? If so copy and paste the below into a .REG file, then import it...
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\ItssRestrictions] "MaxAllowedZone"=dword:00000001

No problem.
One of the recent critical patches changed the way .CHM files are handled on network shares. The only way to get it to work again is with that registry setting.

Use the attachement. Change the .txt extension to .reg.

That fixed my problem on on computer. The problem that I was having with the other post you posted was that I just copied the register stuff and not the windows register ... stuff.
Now I have to do this too all my computer.
I think it time for sms to do its job..
thanks for all the help
