gamehead200
Guys, I presently have a Linksys BEFSR81 Router which is not wireless...I would like to add a Wi-Fi router to this existing router by connecting a network plug into the Wi-Fi router. What I need from you is a suggestion on which kind of Wi-Fi router is good for me. I would like to be able to access the internet in my bedroom with my laptop and in my kitchen. My bedroom is 2 floors up from my basement and my kitchen is 1 floor up. Which Wi-Fi router is good for me?
Drewdatrip
Well if you want to keep your existing router inplace, i would suggest getting a linksys wireless access point, it wil plug into your router adding wireless networking capablities to the house...=Drew
ThA_FiLeR
I would reccomend a D-link wireless hub or router.. had very bad experiences with the Linksys wireless one, it had very low coverage and locked up allot on me, the prices arent that much different.. rstryker
I bought a D-Link Router (614+) and notebook card (650+) and the stupid thing wont work if i walk out of the room. It shows good signal strength but wont transfer any data. D-Link tech support was useless. And Best Buy wont give me a refund because i sent in for the $10.00 rebate already and to swap out the pieces for new ones to see if its bad equipment they want to charge me $25.00 each because the UPC tag is gone (for the rebate)
