Agent_24 Posted January 6, 2006 Share Posted January 6, 2006 (edited) I have just modified my bootscreen for my new windows install (ntoskrnl.exe with resource hacker)Replaced the file with the modded one in safe mode (as I have always done before)rebooted but I just get the standard bootscreen.I open ntoskrnl.exe after boot in normal mode (the one windows should be using now) to find it is still modified but I'm not seeing the modifications at boot .Is windows loading ntoskrnl.exe from somewhere else?? I used resource hacker, and paint shop pro with 16 colour palette.
