Hi there everyone.
I was wondering if someone knows where i could find and edit the background for this screen.
It's the screens where you activate windows, setup your internet connection and specify users.

This is the last screen i need to modify for my customized Windows.
For my project so far, check http://www.msfn.org/...showtopic=65120

Thanks for all your help :).

PS. It's for windows MCE in dutch, if it makes any difference.

Hi Greenthumb
if your broswe to C:\WINDOWS\system32\oobe\images you can edit the images and makecab them. Then simply add them to the i386 folder of your disc

On a similar topic. Anyone know where that music that plays at the beginning of the installation can be found? I like the way it sounds.

Check out the deploy.cab (on the XP disc, in "\SUPPORT\TOOLS" folder) for 2 .CHM files with info about this & more...

@Greenthumb:
Why do you want to name those files? It will get renamed automatically.
For example, open a CMD prompt, go to the OOBE folder. Then run the command:
makecab msoobe.exe
That will give you a compressed CAB file in the same folder, called MSOOBE.EX_

You can even modify oobeinfo.ini to auto-create users & use the branding section to put in your custom logos in place of the "Microsoft Windows XP" that you see at top-left.

Funny.....I dont think anyone actually answered greenthumb's question.....I also want to know....

"I was wondering if someone knows where i could find and edit the background for this screen.

I have checked the oobe folders in my installed xp, as well as the msoobe.ex_ (ie msoobe.exe) from my 1386 folder in my custom xp directory, and yet cannot find any reference to the background images used in the Welcome screens....

Could someone please help?
