fizban2
DNS server would actually be the IP address for the computer that is running DNS for your domain, the DNS domain name would be like company.corp, it is the DNS name suffix for the domain.to support different scopes across different NIC, just set that NIC to a static IP in the scope that you want it to support, that should do it. Minus Human
HI,Your second question is actually quite easy. Example: Your NIC's are configured as follows>Nic110.1.32.1255.255.240.0Nic210.1.48.1255.255.240.0on your DHCP have to scopes with the following IP Ranges10.1.32.10 - 10.1.47.25410.1.48.10 - 10.1.63.254when a client on your 10.1.48.X network does a request for an IP it will be issued an IP in the 48 network because that client is connected to the 48 network segment.it will work but it's probably not "the right way of doing things."DNS 006 in scope options is the actual DNS Server/s IP addresses that will be issued to clients when they do a DHCP request.DNS 015 is the DNS name of your domain ex msfn.org.Minus Human
Lus
thankx both are currect, for more info :if your DHCP server has one NIC with two assinged IP address : 192.168.10.5/24 192.168.11.5/24 and with DHCP Scope :192.168.10.11-192.168.10.254192.168.11.11-192.168.11.254only Clients that are in this segnement ( 192.168.10.0/24 )can Renew their IP address becaouse DHCP will answer only to primary Ip address .ang PCs in segnemet 192.168.11.0 can not take IP address from DHCP ! Minus Human
Unless you set up a DHCP relay agent through RRAS to listen for DHCP requests from your second interface.Minus Human
fizban2
Minus is right, but that is also if you are using the computer as a router, if you have a managed switch or the like, you may need to have it route dhcp packets to that machine from the second NIC
